A fire that caused homes to be evacuated is being treated as suspected arson.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to Main Street, Bulwell, at about 23:15 BST on Wednesday.

It said a caravan fire spread to a derelict building and that "a small number of people" were evacuated.

In a statement, the fire service said it had referred the case to the police "due to suspected deliberate ignition".

Both crews from Stockhill fire station attended but no injuries were reported.
