Ukrainian refugee: 'Gingerbread is my meditation'
A Ukrainian refugee who fled her home following Russia's invasion says baking gingerbread houses has helped her to cope with the trauma of the war.
Daria Tarasevych, 32, gave up her job as a management consultant in Kyiv to start a gingerbread business before the war began.
Now living in Ratcliffe-on-Soar, Nottinghamshire, with her husband and son, Daria described the long process of making the gingerbread houses and decorations as a kind of "meditation".
"I'm trying to fill myself with something good," she said. "I put soul into it."
