Harry Toffolo: Forest star says betting ban was 'heart-wrenching'

Nottingham Forest defender Harry Toffolo has opened up about the emotional turmoil he endured after being charged with hundreds of betting rule breaches.

The 28-year-old was given a suspended five-month ban in September for 375 breaches, which took place between 2014 and 2017.

Toffolo, who feared the charges would end his career, said the impact his high-profile case had on his children was heart-wrenching.

He said: "For me, the toughest part was when the kids would come back from school having heard 'your dad is going to get banned for life' and my seven-year-old is crying to me."
