Nottingham: Man held after 'stumbling in front of police car'

Nottinghamshire Police said officers were driving along Bells Lane when a man came to their attention

A man was found to be carrying a knife and drugs after stumbling in and out of the road in front of a passing police car.

Officers were driving along Bells Lane, Nottingham, at about 05:00 GMT on Tuesday when they spotted the man.

He was searched and found in possession of a "locking style knife", as well as a small amount of what is thought to be cannabis and cocaine.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested, with the items seized by police.

Nottinghamshire Police said the 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A and B drugs, and possessing a bladed article in a public place.
