Harworth: Man and woman killed in single-vehicle crash

Bawtry Road was closed for much of Monday after the crash

A man and a woman have been killed in a crash in Nottinghamshire.

Emergency services were called to Bawtry Road in Harworth at about 02:15 GMT on Sunday when a Ford Ranger crashed.

Nottinghamshire Police said a 26-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene.

The force said no other vehicles were involved in the crash and that an investigation was under way to find out what had caused it.

Anyone who witnessed it, or has relevant footage, is urged to call police.
