Man charged after theft of 'priceless' military museum silverware

A man has been charged after a large haul of antique silverware was stolen from a museum in Nottinghamshire.
The "priceless" artefacts were stolen from a display case at the Royal Lancers & Nottinghamshire Yeomanry Museum in Thoresby Park on 29 October.
A large hole had been cut from outside the building and into the display case, police said.
Graham Gallon, of Carrington Terrace, Rotherham, was arrested on Wednesday and later charged with burglary.
The 36-year-old will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 29 February.
Nottinghamshire Police said the items, which included a distinctive parcel and gilt rosewater dish, had not been recovered.
A 24-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but was released under investigation.
