The tribute, which reads "Forever our 47", was installed at the venue on Friday.

"He will forever be in our thoughts and this plaque will be a lasting memory of him," said Omar Pacha, chief executive of the Nottingham side.

"Not only was Adam an outstanding talent on the ice, he was just a great human being and made people better around him.

"I'd like to thank the arena for their support with the plaque and we are proud to have it forever on display outside our home."

Johnson sustained the cut during an away fixture at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield.

Following his death, a man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter in November and has since been released on bail.
