Thick plume of smoke seen as fire breaks out near Burger King

Emergency services were called to a fast food restaurant in Nottinghamshire after a fire broke out.

Police and fire crews went to Southwell Road East, Rainworth, just before 15:00 GMT on Thursday.

Footage shows a huge plume of smoke next to a Burger King outlet currently under construction.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed three crews were called to the scene.

Two crews remained as of 15:45, a spokesperson confirmed, after the fire was brought under control.
