A man has been arrested after a knife attack at a pub in Nottinghamshire.

Police were called to Larry's Bar in Derby Road, Stapleford, where a man had suffered a slash injury to his face on 12 April.

The 26-year-old man was detained on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife in a public place, Nottinghamshire Police said.

Officers said the investigation was ongoing.

The force previously said it believed the attack was an "isolated incident".

Det Insp James Oakton said he hoped the police response would offer "some reassurance to people in the neighbourhood".

Witnesses and anyone with information about the incident have been asked to come forward.
