The winner has until 16 June to come forward with their ticket

A £1m jackpot winning lottery ticket bought in Oxfordshire has not been claimed two weeks after the draw.

The lucky player matched all six numbers for the 18 December draw winning a jackpot of £956,813.

The ticket was bought in the Vale of White Horse with the winning numbers of 9, 21, 35, 38, 46 and 49 - the bonus ball was 40.

The ticket holder has until 1730 GMT on 16 June to come forward or the money will go to good causes.

A National Lottery spokesman said: "We're desperate to find this mystery ticket holder and unite them with their winnings - this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody's life.

'Champagne on ice'

"We're urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.

"Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa - someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune.

"We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win."

More than £25bn has been raised for good causes in the UK through lottery ticket sales since the National Lottery started in 1994.

These have included arts, sports, heritage, health, education and environmental projects.
