Views sought on Oxford's community centres

Residents in Oxford are being asked their views on their local community centres.

A pilot survey will ask people what they think of the facilities and activities on offer, how often they use their centre and what they use it for.

The Labour-run city council said the results would help to reveal the needs of people using the centres in West Oxford, Barton, Cutteslowe, Littlemore.

The survey is available on the city council's website or at the centres.

Councillor Antonia Bance said: "Community centres provide a vital role locally as a place where people can go to take part in a range of activities and meet people.

"They also work with other community groups to promote sport, leisure, healthy eating and events.

"The results of this survey will help the council understand who uses the centres and why."
