Thames Valley Police proposes cuts to front desk hours

Police stations across the Thames Valley may be open to the public for less time because of budget cuts.
No front desks will close completely but the force admits redundancies remain a possibility.
Ch Supt David Lewis said: "I'm expecting us to need fewer people if we're going to be delivering fewer hours."
The public can make suggestions on opening hours via a survey, external on the Thames Valley Police website.
The public consultation period ends on 30 September.
Ch Supt Lewis said he was still looking to provide a high quality service to the public.
He added: "We're actually historically very good at managing those sort of changes and we make as few redundancies as we possibly can.
"We are being asked to save money and we're also reorganising the force in order to do that."
