Jubilee street party spans Berkshire and Oxfordshire

One of the biggest Diamond Jubilee street parties in the UK spanned the two counties of Oxfordshire and Berkshire.

On Sunday about 4,000 residents lined up tables from Goring to Streatley.

The aim had been to get into the record books as the longest continuous street party and the biggest cream tea.

Organiser Nikki Swan said: "The current record is 400-odd. We're going to do 4,000"

But neither of the two records could be officially recorded because the participants could not be formally counted in and out of the occasion.
