Plans for 880 new homes in Banbury unveiled

Plans to build up to 880 new homes in Oxfordshire have been unveiled.

Pandora Ltd has proposed building the homes and also a new school on two sites around the Southam Road area in Banbury.

Affordable housing would account for 30% of the overall total, the developers say.

People have until mid-March to comment on the outline plans while a final decision is expected from Cherwell Council by the end of May.

Thames Valley Police has already requested a contribution of £76,850 if the new development received the go-ahead.

This would pay in part for two new Automatic Number Plate recognition cameras (£22,000) and a patrol car (£21,150).
