Businesses have signed up to leases in a redevelopment project which has faced opposition in Oxfordshire.

Doric Properties has submitted plans for a £100m regeneration of the West Way area of Botley.

A cinema, restaurants and shops have committed to sites in the development.

Members of the public have until Thursday to comment on the plans submitted to the Vale of White Horse Council.

It is claimed the development will create 600 jobs in construction and 480 jobs when it is operating.

The West Way Community Concern group opposes the development and there are concerns about increased traffic.

The plans are due to be considered on 3 December.
