An Oxford museum is hoping residents will bring "hidden gems" to tell the story of the last 40 years in the city.
The Museum of Oxford has appealed to people to provide objects that have an interesting story.
The exhibition, to start in September, is called 40 Years, 40 Objects: Celebrating the Stories of a City and its People.
People with objects can drop them off between 11:00 and 16:00 BST. Pictures will be taken of each object.
Photographs of all the objects are to be included in a digital exhibition and the most interesting will feature at the museum itself.
The exhibition is part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of the Museum of Oxford.
Engagement officer at the museum, Antonia Harland-Lang, said: "We are excited to see what the people of Oxford will share and are looking forward to creating a new kind of exhibition.
"We are welcoming all kinds of objects and stories as long as they relate to the history of the city from the last four decades.
"We are hoping to find hidden gems and objects that relate to stories we may not know about."
