Thousands of runners will take to the streets for Oxford's half marathon on Sunday.

About 11,500 people are expected at the event which begins at Broad Street, near Trinity College, at 09:30 BST.

Broad Street and sections of Parks Road and Museum Road will be closed from Saturday for the installation of the start and finish areas.

Other road closures will be in place from 08:00 on Sunday and will start to be lifted from 11:00.

Organisers Limelight Sports Club said all roads, except for Broad Street, Radcliffe Square and Parks Road - between Holywell Street and South Parks road - would be re-opened by 14:30 on Sunday.

The flat course passes through the city's university parks and historical city centre, taking in numerous historic landmarks as well as the River Cherwell, before ending in Park Road.

BBC Radio Oxford will be broadcasting all the action and atmosphere from the Oxford Half Marathon 2023 from 09:00 on Sunday.
