The move is aimed at bringing more trade to independent shops over the festive period
Shoppers are being offered free parking in the lead-up to Christmas.
The scheme, which is taking place across parts of Oxfordshire, will see free parking offered on Saturdays in December.
Council-run car parks in Abingdon and Faringdon will have no fees on 2, 9 and 16 December, with sites in Wantage free on 9, 16 and 23 December.
It is hoped it will encourage people to support local businesses, Vale of White Horse District Council said.
The days in each town have been decided based what best suited local traders.
