Neil Comins was assaulted in Cope Road, Banbury

A man has been charged with murder after another man died in hospital after being attacked.

Neil Comins, 39, from Banbury, died after the assault in Cope Road, Banbury, Oxfordshire, on 3 January, Thames Valley Police said.

A post-mortem examination found he died of a traumatic brain injury.

Janaed Akhtar, 39, of Cope Road, Banbury, has been charged with murder and perverting the course of justice. He has been remanded in custody.

Mr Akhtar is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
