A second person has died following a car crash on Christmas Day.

Thomas Pritchard, 31, died on Wednesday at the John Radcliffe Hospital after receiving injuries from the crash on the A338 between East Hanney and Frilford, Oxfordshire.

The collision took place shortly before lunchtime on Christmas Day and involved a red Mini Cooper and Mr Pritchard's white Peugeot 208.

Jean Houston, 61, was the driver of the Mini and died at the scene.

The road was closed between the A415 and A417 for several hours.

Mr Pritchard's family said he had died a week before his 32nd birthday.

Their tribute added: "Tommy attended Botley Primary School and Abingdon School before attending the University of Leeds.

"He was a keen sportsman and enjoyed rugby and cricket, both at university and locally in Oxford. He was also a keen golfer.

"Most recently Tommy became the landlord and head chef at The Fox Inn in Boars Hill.

"Tommy was the only son of Paul and Sarah Pritchard."
