Burford A40: Man dies in hospital two weeks after crash

A man has died in hospital two weeks after a two-vehicle collision on a major road.

It involved a black MG ZS and a white Citroen Berlingo van and occurred about 06:20 GMT on Monday 4 March on the A40 near Burford.

The driver of the MG, a man in his 30s, died in hospital on Saturday.

Thames Valley Police has launched a fresh appeal for witnesses of the incident to come forward.

The driver of the Citroen, a man aged in his 50s, sustained serious injuries, and is recovering in hospital.

Formal identification of the man who died has yet to take place, but police said his next-of-kin have been informed.
