Following this year's Chelsea Flower Show, a participating garden will be rehomed at a business park.

The Flood Re: Flood Resilient Garden will be relocated to Howbery Business Park in Wallingford, in Oxfordshire.

HR Wallingford, the business park owners, hope to have the garden on display by spring 2025.

Celebrity gardener Naomi Slade helped design the outside space - which aims to demonstrate how domestic gardens can recover quickly after heavy rainfall.

It is also hoped visitors will be provided with ideas for flood-proofing their own gardens.

The display is sponsored by insurance industry initiative Flood Re, external which helps households at risk of flooding.

It will be adapted to fit into the Howbery Park space following May's Chelsea Flower Show - with an updated design due to be released later in the year.

HR Wallingford director Andy Brown said: "We help people live and work sustainably with water, and this garden is not only a great example of how to bring sustainability to life, but also aligns with our work on sustainable urban drainage systems and flood resilience."

It is hoped the garden will be open to visitors, free of charge, from spring 2025 - subject to planning permission.

Flood Re CEO Andy Bord said: "The garden will not only be a beautiful space for everyone to enjoy for years to come but will offer a tangible example of how to create a beautiful outside space that is also flood resilient."
