Shropshire bridge repairs may cost £100,000

Repairs to a Shropshire bridge could cost up to £100,000, according to the council.

Telford & Wrekin Council has closed a minor road after an inspection found the bridge, over the River Tern, was unsafe due to erosion.

The road, between Great Bolas and Little Bolas, will be shut for a number of weeks.

Some 20 people are thought to live near the bridge. Phase one of the work to reopen the road should start soon.
