Stoney Stretton bridge near Yockleton to shut for roadworks
- Published
Stoney Stretton Bridge near Shrewsbury will be closed for repairs from 23 October, Shropshire Council said.
The work will include repairing minor damage to the foundations of one of the walls and replacing some roadside fencing.
The council said repairs would cost about £3,000 and take up to two days.
As the bridge is narrow, it will be necessary to temporarily close it to traffic to carry out the proposed work safely.
Traffic is expected to be diverted via the B4386 road at Yockleton.
The bridge will remain open to pedestrians and cyclists throughout the proposed work, the council said.
