Girl 'sold for sex' in Telford restaurant, a court hears

A 22-year-old delivery driver took a teenage girl to a restaurant where she was sold for sex, a court has heard.

A jury was told that Noshad Hussain took the 16-year-old to the restaurant in Telford, where she was paid to have sex with three workers.

Mr Hussain, of Regent Street, Wellington, denies an allegation of facilitating child prostitution.

Wolverhampton Crown Court heard he also denies four charges relating to sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl.

Mr Mark Weekes, prosecuting, said the 16-year-old girl, who cannot be named, had been trafficked as a child prostitute and was being sold for sex during 2008 and 2009.

'Performed a sex act'

"It was an almost unimaginable world of dingy, seedy sexual encounters in, amongst other places, the upstairs of restaurants in the Telford area," he said.

The jury heard the incident at the restaurant in Oakengates was "more than three years ago."

The prosecution allege that Noshad Hussain knew the purpose of driving the girl to the restaurant and that he was facilitating her actions as a child prostitute.

Mr Weekes said at the time two Telford men were controlling the girl as a prostitute.

He said one of the men was banned from driving and used other people to do the driving for him.

The jury was told that the other alleged victim in the trial was 14-years-old when Mr Hussain "forcefully cajoled" her into performing a sex act on him.

Later, the girl revealed to a social worker that she had been in his car and was given drink.

The trial continues.
