Whitchurch Civic Centre revamp to start

Work is due to start on a major refurbishment of a community and civic centre in Shropshire.
Whitchurch Civic Centre will undergo landscaping, internal alterations and modernisation of technical systems.
The £724,000 scheme, funded by Shropshire Council, is expected to take six months and starts on Monday.
The library and market, based within the building, will stay open throughout the work which is expected to cost more than £1.6m.
Whitchurch Town Council, usually based at the civic centre, has temporarily relocated to the nearby heritage centre.
