Inquiry held into Shropshire Council leader

The council would not confirm or deny it had received a complaint over Keith Barrow

An investigation is understood to be taking place into Keith Barrow, the leader of Shropshire Council.

The internal inquiry is thought to follow a complaint the Conservative group leader did not comply with the council's code of conduct.

He is thought to have admitted to some of his colleagues that an investigation is taking place involving him.

The council refused to confirm or deny an allegation had been made due to the risk the process may be compromised.
