Cineworld stops mum with baby at Star is Born screening

A mum has criticised Cineworld staff who refused to let her into a screening of Lady Gaga hit A Star is Born with a four-week-old baby.
Catherine Buckley, 37, was not allowed to view the Bradley Cooper-directed 15-certificate drama at the chain's Shrewsbury multiplex.
Mrs Buckley said her daughter Rosie "wouldn't know what was going on".
In a statement, Cineworld said staff "were acting in accordance with the age restriction law."
'She's not 15'
Mrs Buckley said she had been to the cinema before with her other child to special "Babes in Arms" showings where infants can attend screenings in the morning and afternoons with parents.
The mum-of-two said she and her sister were about to enter Tuesday's screening when they were approached by a member of staff who said: "We're not sure you can take her in, she's not 15."
"We thought they were joking but they said no, we actually couldn't take her in," Mrs Buckley said.
"I understand that there has to be rules and legislation in place but they're asleep for 18 hours a day.
Cineworld said they were "sorry" Mrs Buckley was "disappointed"
"She can only make out near shapes... she wouldn't know what was going on at all, so is she not allowed to sit at home and watch the news?"
Cineworld said British Board of Film Classification rules meant anyone under-age, including babies, could not be let into age-rated films.
"We are sorry this customer was disappointed but this is a mandatory law that Cineworld staff have to follow," it said.
"We allow babies into all films that are classified as 12A and under."
