Telford man jailed after admitting sex attacks on woman

A man has been jailed after admitting two vicious attacks on a woman.

Steven Dodd, from Telford, pleaded guilty to sexual assault on a female, common assault and causing actual bodily harm after two attacks in August 2021 and March last year.

The 38-year-old, of Ketley Park Road, was sentenced to three years in prison after appearing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 9 November.

Police commended the bravery of the victim during the inquiry.

Det Con Izzy Broxton of West Mercia Police said: "First and foremost, the bravery and courage that the victim showed throughout this investigation was astounding.

"Thank you to the victim and the various other individuals involved in supporting her, which in turn has allowed us to seek some form of justice.

"We will act on all reports made and offer our full support to anyone who feels they are a victim of sexual assault, as this case shows we take any reports very seriously."
