Cow with head stuck in Shropshire tree is freed by firefighters

A cow has been rescued by firefighters after getting its head stuck in the fork of a tree.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service sent out a specialist animal rescue team to help free the stricken animal at 15:00 GMT on Saturday in Worfield, near Bridgnorth.

In order to remove the animal and after liaising with a vet, the crew had to prize the tree apart.

Video footage of the moment the animal was rescued has been shared by the fire service on social media.
