A major road is set to close for two days to allow for road surfacing work to be completed.

Part of the A528 Shrewsbury to Ellesmere road in north Shropshire will be shut on 30 November and 1 December.

It will be closed to traffic from Myddle to the B4397 junction at Burlton.

Access to properties would be maintained and a signed diversion would be in place throughout the route, Shropshire Council added.

Road surfacing works are set to take place between 09:30 and 16:00 GMT each day, with no access to Harmer Hill from Burlton during the closure.

The council added all planned roadworks were subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
