Man killed in Oswestry by reversing van, police say

A man in his 80s died in hospital after he was hit by a vehicle which was being reversed away from a recovery vehicle, police said.
The crash happened at about 13:15 GMT on 9 January on Gobowen Road in Oswestry, Shropshire.
The pedestrian was hit by a Citroen Berlingo van, which was being reversed from the recovery vehicle at the time, West Mercia Police said.
The man suffered serious injuries and later died in hospital.
