Man accused of Telford car park murder found not guilty

A man accused of murder after a man died in a car park has been found not guilty.

Anthony Wootton, 44, was found with a fatal abdominal injury in Gresley Close, Woodside, in Telford on 17 July.

Ashley Harris, 31, of Armstrong Close, was was found not guilty of murder and manslaughter at Stafford Crown Court after a two-week trial.

Julie Allie, 37, of Armstrong Close, is accused of perverting the course of justice and assisting an offender.

She is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court next month.
