Minehead Community Hospital open day attracts 1,000

Some 1,000 people turned up to see inside Minehead's brand new community hospital over the weekend.
NHS staff gave residents a tour of the £25.5m hospital which replaces the current Victorian one on The Avenue.
The new building on Seaward Way has a rehabilitation service, extra inpatient beds and a minor injuries unit.
Resident Tony Evans said: "We're so lucky to get in when we did because I think a couple of years along the line we wouldn't have had this."
He added: "The atmosphere is going to be so much better than the old hospital where you felt very claustrophobic."
The new hospital, which will officially open for business on 14 February, will bring together many of the NHS services that are currently scattered across the town such as day care and mental health.
The old hospital needed to be replaced because of high upkeep costs and lack of space.
Ester Corricks, the head of adult speech and language therapy, said she was delighted at the number of people that had showed up.
