The new technology has opened up new ways of holding funerals

A crematorium in Somerset has upgraded its facilities to allow relatives to webcast their loved one's funeral.

Services at Taunton Deane Crematorium, which holds around 2,200 funerals a year, have already been viewed online in Australia, Mexico and Israel.

Reverend Tim Hodge said: "It's made the process much easier and thus more calming and reflective for the family."

Funerals can also be recorded onto CD or DVD. The new facilities cost £14,000.
