More members of the Armed Forces in Somerset are preparing to head to the Mediterranean for a training exercise.
Several aircraft and crews from RNAS Yeovilton and up to 200 Royal Marines from 40 Commando, based near Taunton, will join Operation Cougar.
They will join three companies from 40 Commando that left for Suez on 5 April.
A Ministry of Defence spokesman described the exercise as scheduled training and said it has been planned for two years.
