Weston-super-Mare town hall closes for refurbishment

Council services in Weston-super-Mare are to be moved to a temporary base during the refurbishment of the town hall.
People wanting information from North Somerset Council will go to Somerset House on Oxford Street from 13 June.
The council wants to amalgamate its offices at Castlewood in Clevedon and the town hall to make two "main hubs".
A new central library is also included as part of the revamp of the town hall building on Walliscote Grove Road.
The council said it needed to make savings of £700,000 over three years and moving the library helped cut the number of buildings the authority occupies.
A campaign was launched earlier in the year to keep the town's library in its Grade II listed home in The Boulevard.
The town hall is scheduled to reopen by the summer 2012.
