Appeal after woman sexually assaulted in Taunton

An investigation is under way after a woman was sexually assaulted in a Somerset town.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the 19-year-old was attacked by a man in the Goodlands Gardens area of Taunton in the early hours of Sunday.

The attacker was described as a man of Asian appearance.

Police have appealed for anyone approached by a clean shaven man, of Asian appearance, wearing a short-sleeved blue shirt to contact them.
