Work on new Clevedon hospital put on hold

Work on a new £15m community hospital in Clevedon has been put on hold.
NHS North Somerset said it had reviewed the business case in light of changing circumstances in the health system.
It said the blueprint was being updated to ensure the hospital provided value for money and best met the needs of patients.
The work was originally due to start this month and be completed by the summer of 2013.
NHS North Somerset said it hoped the revised business case would be approved early in the new year, after which a new timetable for the work could be drawn up.
