Dairy Crest's cheese packing firm in Frome cuts 30 jobs

Up to 30 jobs are to go at a cheese packing factory in Somerset run by Dairy Crest Limited.
The factory packages the Cathedral City cheese and other brands at the factory in Frome.
Cuts are being made after changes to shift patterns and operational procedures, Dairy Crest said.
Last year the firm created more jobs to meet demand and recently took on more staff for its innovations section. The site currently employs about 150 staff.
A spokesman for the company said: "Unfortunately this restructure has resulted in some job losses and we are providing as much support as possible to minimise the impact on anyone whose job is affected by this review.
"It is always difficult to lose staff and it is not a decision that is taken lightly.
"We will try to find alternative employment for those affected by the decision but it is likely that up to 30 jobs may become redundant."
