Crash on A303 in Ilminster kills two people

Two people have been killed in a road crash involving a van and a car on the A303 in Ilminster, Somerset.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 08:30 BST and the road was closed for eight miles between the junctions with the A358 and A356.
Two people in one of the vehicles died and a third person from the other vehicle is in a serious condition.
Collision investigation work has begun and the Ilminster bypass reopened at 13.40 BST after the five-hour closure.
A fourth casualty, who was travelling in the vehicle with the seriously injured person, suffered minor injuries, police said.
