Scout wants to become the youngest person to scale the Old Man of Hoy

A 10 year-old scout from Somerset is aiming to become the youngest person ever to scale a world famous cliff in Scotland.

If successful, Oliver Buckle will follow in the footsteps of famous mountaineers including Sir Chris Bonington, who first scaled 'The Old Man of Hoy' in 1966.

Sir Chris and adventurer and UK Chief Scout, Bear Grylls have both recorded good luck messages for Oliver.

Depending on the weather conditions he will attempt the climb sometime between Thursday and Sunday.
