Person dies in crash on A38 near Bristol Airport

The A38 Bridgwater Road has been shut from the Airport Tavern to Dial Lane

A person has died following a crash involving three vehicles.

Police were called to the junction of the A38 Bridgwater Road and Dial Lane at 07:35 BST, after reports of a collision involving three cars.

Emergency services attended and the road was shut for more than nine hours between the Airport Tavern and Dial Lane.

Another person has been treated by paramedics for injuries which are not believed to be life-changing.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary said they were called to a report of a collision in which three cars caught fire.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage of the crash to get in contact with officers.
