Weston-super-Mare murder: Four more arrests

Police confirmed they arrested three men on Wesdnesday night on suspicion of murder

A further four arrests have been made in a police investigation after a man was stabbed to death.

Dominic Wilson, 43, was found by police officers dying at an address in Upper Church Road, Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, after a stab injury.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary have confirmed they arrested three men last night on suspicion of murder.

The force also said they arrested a woman, 29, on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All four people, including the men aged 26, 33 and 36, remain in police custody.

Police said a post-mortem examination confirmed Mr Wilson died from a stab injury.

In a tribute, Mr Wilson's family said he was a "loving father to his children".

They added: "He always enjoyed what this life had to offer, and he lived it to the full.

"His bubbly character will live on and he will be dearly missed by those who knew him."

The further arrests come as a 39-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody.

Two men, both aged in their 40s, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday and have since been released without charge.

On Tuesday, two men, one in their 40s and one in their 50s, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have now been released without charge.

'Extra patrols in area'

DCI Simon Dewfall, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: "Our thoughts remain with Dominic's family, who continue to be supported by specially trained officers.

"Our work to establish the full circumstances of this incident is continuing and we are very grateful for residents' understanding while our cordon remains in place.

"Our neighbourhood policing team are carrying out extra patrols in the area and if you do have any concerns then please approach a police officer."
