Somerset M5 overnight closure for emergency repairs

National Highways urged motorists to allow extra time for their journeys
A section of motorway will close later for emergency repairs.
The M5 will be closed southbound between junction 24 for Bridgwater and 25 for Taunton from 21:00 GMT on Saturday until 06:00 on Sunday.
National Highways said the closure was for resurfacing work after a defect on the road was identified near junction 25. It urged motorists to allow extra time for their journeys.
Traffic will be diverted via the A38 during the overnight closure.
