Weston-super-Mare: Motorcyclist in his 20s dies after crash

A motorcyclist has died after crashing into a wall.

Emergency services were called to Beach Road near Royal Sands in Weston-super-Mare at about 04:30 GMT on Friday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, came off his bike after crashing into the wall and was confirmed dead at the scene despite efforts from members of the public.

Avon and Somerset Police said the man's family had been informed and would be offered specialist support.

Beach Road and some of Uphill Road North were closed in both directions from the junction with Clarence Road South to the junction of Moorland Road.

Police have urged any witnesses to contact officers.
