Daytime disco in Somerset raising money for children's hospice

A Women's Institute group is organising a charity night out with a difference - with a promise everyone can be home and in bed by 9pm.
Members of Bleadon Women's Institute in Somerset have organised an 'In Bed By Nine' disco at Weston-super-Mare's Loft nightclub.
The daytime event is raising money for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW).
Co-organiser Kate James said she loved "the idea of going to a disco but most of the clubs don't open until 10.00pm".
"This event gives people of a certain age a chance to get out, have a dance and a drink, grab a taxi or bus home and be back at home in their pj's by 9pm."
The daytime disco will be held from 14:00 until 20:00 BST on 20 April, but only people over 30 years old will be allowed through the doors.
Committee members came up with the idea after hearing about the initiative 'Day Fever' run by actor Vicky McClure and her husband Jonny Owen. Line of Duty star McClure created a club night that opens in the day but shuts early.
'Chance to revisit youth'
Ms James said: "We thought it was such a good idea, we would do one for charity.
"It's a real chance for people to revisit their youth without missing out on their sleep and raising money for an incredible cause at the same time."
The Women's Institute decided to support Children's Hospice South West after visiting their Charlton Farm hospice in Wraxall.
"Being able to see the work of the charity just inspired us all and we agreed we wanted to do a fundraiser," Ms James added.
Charlton Farm opened to families in 2007 and is currently supporting almost 200 children and young people from the local area living with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses.
