The Wire star Dominic West to receive honorary degree

Dominic West, who played detective Jimmy McNulty in the TV series The Wire, is to receive an honorary degree from Sheffield Hallam University.
The Sheffield-born actor, who also played Oliver Cromwell in the Channel 4 drama The Devil's Whore, is being honoured for services to the arts.
Mercury Prize-nominated folk singer Kate Rusby, from Barnsley, will also be conferred with an honorary doctorate.
The ceremony will take place at Sheffield City Hall on 11 November.
Another honorary degree will go to Sheffield Hallam graduate and Warp Films producer Mark Herbert, best known for producing Shane Meadows' hit films, This Is England and Dead Man's Shoes.
