Police Christmas card plea over Doncaster woman's death

Police are offering a £20,000 reward for information leading to a conviction
Police investigating the murder of a Doncaster woman in 2005 have appealed to the author of a Christmas card referring to the crime to come forward.
Nora Tait, 69, of Stone Close Avenue, Hexthorpe, was found dead at her home on 13 October.
The South Yorkshire force revealed it had received a Christmas card in December 2009 addressed to the murder inquiry team.
Senior detectives are now appealing for the card's author to get in touch.
The force said the card read: "To the Nora Tait murder inquiry team - Keep up the good work x".
The writer adds: "I might know a little something or nothing - I will be back in touch after Christmas."
Det Supt Neil Jessop appealed on Tuesday - the fifth anniversary of Mrs Tait's death - for the card's author to contact police.
'Horrific loss'
Mrs Tait, a retired seamstress, died in what police described as a "horrific attack" at her house.
Det Supt Jessop added: "There is no clear motive for the attack on Nora, although it is believed that her black purse that may have contained around £100 was missing from the house."
He said officers remained determined to bring the person who attacked Mrs Tait to justice, and they were aware the incident was still "firmly fixed" in the memories of the people who lived in the area.
A £20,000 reward is being offered by South Yorkshire Police and the Crimestoppers charity for information resulting in a conviction.
Mrs Tait's daughter, Jayne Watson, said: "Five years on and our family are still living with this horrific loss."
She added: "We are pleading for anyone with information to please contact the police."
South Yorkshire Police said nine people had been arrested since the murder inquiry started, but no charges had been brought.
