Man cleared of murdering Laura Wilson in Rotherham

A man has been found not guilty of murdering the mother of his child whose body was found in a canal in Rotherham.
Ishaq Hussain, 22, was accused of mounting a mission to kill 17-year-old Laura Wilson with a friend who had also had a relationship with her.
Her body was found in the South Yorkshire Navigation Canal in October 2010, Sheffield Crown Court heard.
Friend Ashtiaq Asghar, 18, of Holmes Lane, Rotherham, has admitted murder and will be sentenced at a later date.
Miss Wilson's body was found on 12 October, three days after she was reported missing from her home in Holmes, Rotherham.
Mr Hussain, of Ferham Road, Rotherham was found not guilty in a unanimous jury verdict.
Det Supt Mick Mason, of South Yorkshire Police, said: "This has been a traumatic time for Laura's family and friends.
"Her killer will face a lengthy prison sentence and we hope they can now move on with the rest of their lives."
